The site was born on 6 May 2002 with the aim of being the spiritual home of all things 'Draught' in the UK (with occasional excursions abroad) and a source of inspiration for all those of a Draught nature.
Draught is the generic term used to refer to all that is traditional and good. It's opposite is 'Keg' which is used to identify low quality things which degrade the quality of our lives.
The term appeared many years ago, back in the 1970s, in the days when keg beer ruled and draught beer was starting to stage a comeback. The term 'draught' evolved and began to refer to all that was good, not just draught beer. Likewise 'keg' began to be used for all that was bad.
The simple answer is that you don't. If left to the population at large subjective decisions would be made by the unskilled resulting in misinformation and confusion. For this reason draught.org.uk was created to promote all that is Draught and save the world from the march of Kegness. This site enables you to suggest Draught things to other like-minded people and view the suggestions of others.
